First Timer's Guide

What if I arrive late? 

We ask that you please give yourself a little extra travel time to ensure you arrive on time. Tickets are valid until show time. We will do our best to accommodate latecomers whenever possible, however, this may mean that you will be seated in a location that is different from your assigned seating. Should you arrive late to the theater or vacate your seat during the performance, a House Manager will help you reenter the theatre during a pause in the action on stage to avoid a disruption for your fellow audience members or the actors. Please know that some productions or circumstances may not allow for late seating. To ensure you’re able to enjoy the full performance in your assigned seat, please be sure to arrive at the theater on time – we don’t want you to miss a moment!
 

Where should I park?

There are plenty of parking options available when you visit Florida Studio Theatre, including two adjacent parking lots and three nearby parking garages, plus on-street parking. Click here to find a convenient place to park while you enjoy the theatre. 


What should I wear?

We recommend smart casual or resort casual wear when attending productions at FST.
 

Can I take food and beverages into the theatre?

Yes. In our Goldstein and Court Cabaret theatres as well as in Bowne’s Lab during FST Improv performances, you can order from our full food and drink menus and enjoy a meal right at your table in the theatre. For those attending performances in our Keating and Gompertz Mainstage theatres as well as Stage III productions in Bowne's Lab, you can purchase refreshments at our concessions stand in the lobby. All food and beverages purchased at concessions is permitted inside the theatre.
 

May I take photos or videos of the performance?

We encourage you to take photos of and with the set before or after the show and during intermission. We just ask that you tag @FloridaStudioTheatre as well as the scenic designers when sharing on social media – we want to see your great pics! Sorry - no video, photo, or audio recording of any FST production may be taken during performances. Let’s enjoy the experience together in the moment.
 

What do I do if I lose my tickets?

Not a problem – we’re happy to help. Just stop by the FST Box Office before your performance and we will reprint your tickets for you.
 

What happens if I miss my show?

Our Box Office staff will be happy to help you exchange your tickets up to 48 hours prior to your scheduled FST performance. Subscribers enjoy the exclusive benefit of free, unlimited exchanges. Non-subscribers are still able to exchange tickets, though these exchanges incur a $5 charge per ticket. Once a performance has started, we are no longer able to exchange tickets for missed performances.
 

Do FST theatres have listening devices?

The Gompertz Theatre, Keating Theatre, Court Cabaret, and Goldstein Cabaret are all equipped with a Telecoil or T-coil Loop system. No additional assistive listening devices are required for patrons with compatible hearing aids or cochlear implants. If you do not have a compatible device, we invite you to check out a loop receiver for the Box Office. Assistive listening devices are offered free of charge. A driver’s license or another form of ID is exchanged for the device until it is returned.


Anything else I should know?

Theatre is more than just the art on stage. Theatre is about the relationship between artist and audience. Without you – the audience – there would be no theatre.
